According to a Reuters report, Moroccan GSM operator Meditel has responded to local newspaper reports of a possible stock market listing by saying that it has no immediate plans for a flotation. 'Meditel wants to put an end to rumours. It confirms that it would not list a stake on the bourse for the moment,' the company told the news agency.
Meditel's Moroccan owners have indicated that they will consider options to sell a minority stake directly to a strategic telecoms partner or via the stock exchange.
